RDT Soccer Academy

RDT Soccer Academy was founded in 1996 and is named for Riccardo De Thomasis, a Winnipeg coach whose work with young players inspired the program. In 2012, De Thomasis led an underdog team of 13-year-olds from Winnipeg South End United to the National Club Championships. A park in the St. Vital community is named in his honour. The academy describes itself as "at the heart of Winnipeg's soccer community" and now serves over 1,600 players annually.

Grassroots Training is "ideal for beginners, focused on foundational skills and fun." Advanced Training is designed for players ready to take their game to the next level. The Developmental League (U7 to U12) is for motivated players ready to train and compete. Indoor and Outdoor Mini Soccer programs run alongside Girls Advanced Training (new), Futsal during the indoor season, Private Training, and a Summer Camp.

Financial assistance is available through KidSport Canada and the Canadian Tire JumpStart Grant for families who qualify.
