About
Whyte Ridge Youth Soccer is a community-based recreational program run through Whyte Ridge Community Centre at 170 Fleetwood Road. The program is built on Long-Term Player Development principles and follows Canada Soccer grassroots standards. Catchment for the Youth Recreational outdoor season covers Whyte Ridge, Linden Ridge, and South Winnipeg, though anyone is welcome to register.
Mini Soccer runs May to June outdoors for ages 3 to 8. Youth Recreational soccer runs indoor October to March and outdoor May to June for ages U8 to U18, with U13 to U18 playing into July. The 2026-27 outdoor season fees range from $100 for U8 to U10 to $241 for U17 to U18, with an additional $54 MSA fee for U8 to U18. All registered players receive a new uniform that they keep for use across both indoor and outdoor seasons. Matches follow WYSA Recreation League rules.
Registration runs through the RAMP system; for U8 to U10 select the Grassroots Programming season, and for U11 to U18 select Youth Rec Outdoor Soccer. The program actively recruits parent volunteer coaches with online training and no prior experience required. Financial assistance is available through KidSport Canada, the Canadian Tire JumpStart Grant, and a Whyte Ridge Community Centre Program Registration Fee Subsidy Grant for Whyte Ridge and Linden Ridge residents.
